4. Remote Control Compatibility

The NEO100 can be paired with all remote control options:

Remote TypeDescription
eMINICompact remote control allowing the operator to open and close the hook and control battery level. Displays sensor information and maintenance messages.
eMAXAdvanced remote control with high-resolution screen and keypad for full configuration and monitoring.
eINSTInstallable remote control placed in the crane relay cabinet. Requires simple wiring. Can block the crane's upward movement when the hook is in an intermediate position. Compatible with all cranes.
eLINKThe eLINK connects the hook to external systems such as PLCs, SCADA, or crane controls.

5. LED Status Indicator

The NEO100 features an LED status indicator that provides visual feedback during operation:

LED ColorMeaning
GreenHook is unlocked / open – can release load
RedIntermediate status – Do Not Lift! Hook is transitioning from unlocked to locked or vice versa
BlueHook is securely locked – can lift load
WhiteLow battery indicator

LED Pattern: The pulse of the LED status indicator takes an intermittent pattern after 10 seconds in order to save battery. Should the NEO100 carry a load cell and there is a suspended load, this intermittence is of higher frequency.

Critical Warning: Do NOT lift the load until the closure system is confirmed locked (blue LED). Verify the battery is charged before operations. White LEDs indicate low battery.

6. Always On / Smart Nap Modes

Always On Mode:

The colour code scheme of the LED status indicator will always be visible. Activate this mode by pushing the top button beside the battery.

  • Battery duration: 5,000 cycles / 250 hours in standby mode

Smart Nap Mode:

Reduces battery consumption by activating the LED colour code scheme when the hook commences its closing motion.

  • Battery duration: 5,000 cycles / up to 2 months in standby mode

7. Laser Pointer (Optional Feature)

The NEO100 carries a laser pointer as an optional feature. In lifting operations, and from a certain distance, the sense of depth can be misjudged. The laser pointer acts as a guide to perfectly place and set the hook in the correct position when approaching the lifting point.

It can be manually activated by pressing the button beside the battery slot.

WARNING: Avoid exposure and do not stare into beam. Always be aware of the beam location. Keep it away from people's eyes and head. Watch out for reflected beams from glass and shiny surfaces.

8. Autoclose Mode

A contact sensor detects when the hook is closed, and the NEO20S secures automatically.

The autoclose is necessary for the hook closing. There are 3 possible settings: off, on, and on with delay. For more information about autoclose, you can visit the following article [here].

9. Operating Limits

Temperature Range:

The NEO100 is designed for normal atmospheric conditions within a temperature range of -20°C to 60°C (-4°F to 140°F). The hook must not be used outside these conditions.

Chemical Exposure:

The NEO100 must not be exposed to acids, alkalines, or their vapours.

Operating Position:

The hook is specifically designed for vertical lifting.

10. Lifting Procedure

Engage:

  1. Approach the hook to the lifting point. It orients and positions itself once the hook contacts the lifting point.
  2. The trigger makes contact with the lifting point and the closing operation begins.
  3. The sensor recognizes the hook is in the closed position and latches automatically (visual confirmation with LED status changing from green (open) to red (do not lift) and finally to blue (closed)).
  4. The load is ready to be lifted and transported.

Release:

  1. Once load is safely on the ground, the release order can be given.
  2. The hook unlocks and opens (red colour in LED status indicator – Do not lift).
  3. Load is released (green colour in LED status indicator).

11. Critical Warnings for Lifting

  • Do NOT lift more than the Working Load Limit of 100,000 kg / 220,462 lb indicated on the hook and in the CE stamp
  • Do NOT lift the load until the closure system is confirmed locked (blue LED)
  • Do NOT start any operation if the battery is low (white LEDs)
  • Do NOT use the hook to lift, sustain or transport people
  • Do NOT lift loads over people
  • Do NOT leave the weight sustained on the hook unattended unless specific precautions have been taken
  • Do NOT operate the hook without PPE according to local Health and Safety regulations

12. Safety Features

Autoclose: The hook automatically closes when the sensor detects contact with the lifting point.

Lock Confirmation: The closure system must be confirmed locked (blue LED) before lifting.

Laser Pointer (optional): Guides precise positioning when approaching the lifting point.

Smart Nap Mode: Battery saving mode for extended standby time.
