The Autoclose function is a valuable feature designed to enhance the safety and efficiency of your lifting operations. This innovative system allows hooks to close automatically without requiring a direct command from the operator. Utilizing integrated sensors, the Autoclose function ensures that the lifting point is correctly positioned before the hook engages, significantly reducing the risk of accidents.

Sensor Operation by Hook Model

- EVO Series: This model features a Magnet Sensor that employs a powerful magnet to engage various lifting points, including rings, wire-rope slings, and chains. The system operates based on a pressure sensor, which adjusts its resistance according to the pressure applied. This allows for customizable sensitivity settings to suit your specific operational needs.

- S40 Model: The Autoclose feature in the S40 model combines multiple sensors for enhanced safety. The magnet sensor ensures the hook is aligned correctly, while a pressure sensor operates similarly to the EVO model. Additionally, a ball plunger switch serves as a mechanical interlock, permitting the hook to close only when it is correctly positioned, ensuring that the pin can pass through the padeye without any obstruction.

- Neo20 Model: In this model, the Autoclose function is activated by a switch that signals the hook to close upon contact with the lifting point. The eTRACK operates similarly, but the switch is triggered by the rail instead of the lifting point, ensuring safe lifting operations.

- Neo20S, Neo50/60, Neo100 Models: These models utilize a microswitch that activates the Autoclose feature based on the movement of the hook itself, providing an additional layer of safety.

Configurable Autoclose Settings

The Autoclose function is customizable to meet your operational requirements. You can set it to:

- ON – Fully active

- OFF – Deactivated

- ON with 1-second delay

Adjusting Autoclose Settings

There are several ways to modify the Autoclose setting:

1. Hook Button: Press and hold the button on the hook until it beeps:

- 1 beep = Autoclose OFF

- 2 beeps = Autoclose ON

- 3 beeps = Autoclose ON with 1-second delay

2. eMAX Interface: Access the main screen and tap the “A” icon at the bottom right to switch between the three modes. Alternatively, navigate to the Hook Parameters Menu under the MAGNET section to activate or deactivate Autoclose. You can also adjust sensor sensitivity in the SENSITIVITY menu. For more details on accessing these menus, please refer to this [article] on hook parameters.

3. eMINI Configuration: The Autoclose setting can also be modified via the eMINI. For further information on adjusting parameters with the eMINI, please visit this [link].

By understanding and utilizing the Autoclose function, you can enhance the safety and efficiency of your lifting operations, ensuring a smoother workflow and reducing the risk of mishaps.
