If you're experiencing connection issues between your eMAX and Elebia hook after setting up the serial number, don't worry! This guide will help you troubleshoot potential causes and get everything working smoothly.
Elebia hooks operate on various radio frequencies to ensure compatibility worldwide. For the eMAX and hook to connect successfully, both devices must be configured to the same frequency. Typically, Elebia products are pre-configured for the region in which they will be used. However, if you've recently acquired a new hook or eMAX, the configurations may differ.
Step-by-Step Troubleshooting Guide
Step 1: Begin by logging into your eMAX as an ADMIN or SERVICE. Tap the person icon at the bottom of the screen to access the setup options.
Step 2: From the menu settings, select the eMAX option to proceed.
Step 3: Navigate to the Radio option in the menu to adjust the necessary settings.
Step 4: Within the Radio menu, find the Frequency option. Here, you will see four parameters that can be adjusted: frequency, reach, channel, and tuning.
Step 5: It's crucial to understand these parameters. All Elebia hooks are set to channel 1 by default, and changing this requires opening the hook and adjusting the electronic PCB. The tuning parameter should not be altered as it is unlikely to be the cause of your connection issues. The reach parameter is typically set to "short," except for eTRACK. Ensure the frequency is set according to your region—options include EU, USA, USAFCC, Korea, and Japan. Verify that the frequency matches your region, set the reach to "short," and ensure channel 1 is selected.
Step 6: After making these adjustments, return to the initial screen of the eMAX. You should see the battery and radio signal status. If the hook still does not connect, proceed to the next step.
Step 7: If the connection is still unsuccessful, try changing the frequency options. Start by adjusting the reach of the current frequency and check the connection status again. If that doesn’t work, change the frequency itself and test the connection. Continue experimenting with different combinations of frequency and reach until you find a successful setup.
By following these steps, you should be able to resolve any connection issues between your eMAX and Elebia hook. If problems persist, please reach out to our customer support team for further assistance. We're here to help!
