The eMAX system offers a variety of customizable parameters tailored to the logged-in user. It's important to note that standard users do not have access to configuration options. However, when logged in as an ADMIN, users enjoy broader access, while SERVICE users have even more advanced capabilities. To better understand user profiles and menu restrictions, please refer to the related article linked [here].
It is crucial to remember that manipulating these parameters without the necessary knowledge may lead to incorrect functioning of the eMAX system. This guide aims to clarify the meanings of various settings and explain all available options.
To access the eMAX parameters from the home screen, navigate to the settings menu via the gear icon. Here, you can choose between HOOKS or eMAX. By selecting eMAX, you will enter the specific configuration menus. There are seven submenus available: GENERAL, RADIO, SCALE, EVENT LOG, SERIAL COMS and SYSTEM OPTIONS.
GENERAL
In the GENERAL submenu, you will find basic configuration parameters such as language, time, date, vibration, buzzer auto-off time, and auto-lock time.
RADIO
The RADIO menu contains two submenus: REFRESH RATE and FREQUENCY. The refresh rate parameter specifies the time interval for updating information, measured in seconds (0 seconds means no updates will occur). Not all hooks are equipped with the necessary sensors to display information; for instance, a hook without a load cell cannot show weight. Here, you can select the refresh rate for weight, hook status, altitude, and temperature. The FREQUENCY submenu allows you to configure parameters such as frequency, reach, channel, and radio tuning. For detailed information on radio parameters, please refer to the following article. [here].
SCALE
The SCALE menu focuses on weight readings via the load cell, allowing you to configure units for weight, temperature, and distance, selecting the most suitable options. Additionally, the RESOLUTION submenu lets you set the displayed weight resolution, and you can find specific information about this [here]. The ALARMS submenu enables you to configure weight warnings. Some functions may not operate as expected due to compatibility issues between different hook and eMAX versions, so it is advisable to stay updated with the latest version for optimal use.
EVENT LOG
In the EVENT LOG menu, you can view the log through the LOG RECORDS option. You can select which actions are saved in the log via the EVENT ENABLE menu, where you can choose to select all, deselect all, or pick specific actions to be logged. The CLEAR LOG option allows you to delete the saved log. For more information about the log, please visit the related article [here]
SERIAL COMS
The SERIAL COMS menu includes two submenus: BAUDRATE, which specifies the communication speed of the serial port, and OPTIONS, where you can configure communication settings. For more information about the serial comunications, please visit the related article [here]
SYSTEM OPTIONS
The SYSTEM OPTIONS, contains OPTION ENABLES, SET USER NAME, TIMELAP-OFF, and AUX BUTTONS. In OPTION ENABLES, you can select which features to activate on the eMAX, such as vibration, buzzer, Explore registered, refresh temperature, auto-off, and auto-lock, among others. The SET USER NAME option allows you to assign different names to user profiles. The TIMELAP-OFF setting can be adjusted between 4 to 16 hours. The AUX BUTTONS menu is reserved for future expansions.
Additionally, when logged in as a SERVICE user, you can access more advanced parameters from the main settings menu. For more details, please refer to the following [link].
