Managing hook parameters is essential for ensuring optimal performance and safety when using your eMAX system. You can easily access and configure these parameters through the SETTINGS menu. To get started, tap the gear icon located at the bottom of the main screen. From there, select "Hooks" to view a list of all available slots along with their corresponding serial numbers.

To configure a specific hook, select the appropriate slot. A menu will appear with several options:

SERIAL NUMBER

In this section, you can assign a hook to the selected slot using its unique serial number. This ensures that each hook is correctly identified and managed within the system.

PARAMETERS

This option allows you to modify the operational parameters of the selected hook, which is crucial for tailoring the hook's performance to your specific needs.

SCALE

Access the dedicated menu for the load cell and weight readings, which is vital for accurate measurements during operation.

Parameters Menu

The PARAMETERS section is divided into three submenus: MOTOR, MAGNET and RADIO.

 MOTOR Submenu

In the MOTOR submenu, you can adjust various parameters that directly affect the hook's operation, including:

⚠️ **Caution**: Modifying these parameters without proper training may cause malfunction or permanent damage to the hook. Only qualified personnel should make changes.

- RE-OPEN and RE-CLOSE:  These parameters dictate the time in seconds for the hook to return to its closed or open position if the movement is interrupted.

- CLOSING ANGLE: Adjusts the angle at which the hook closes.

- POWER: Modifies the power settings for the hook's motor.

- OVERPOWER TIME: This parameter indicates the duration (in milliseconds) the hook can exceed its intensity limit. It is advisable to keep this setting unchanged to prevent potential motor damage.

- OPENING TIME and CLOSING TIME: These parameters define the maximum time (in seconds) the hook takes to open and close, respectively.

- HALT: This parameter allows you to stop the hook's movement at any point.

- BRAKE: This parameter controls the motor brake. The motor can be electrically locked using this function.

- SLIP: This parameter sets the maximum time the clutch can slip. To protect the motor, the hooks are equipped with a clutch that can slip to prevent damage.

- HYSTERESIS: This parameter defines the allowed deviation of the hook movement without motor assistance. Before the electronics detect a fault, the encoder monitors the movement and provides an alert on the eMAX.

- BAT THRESHOLD: Defines the battery level at which warnings will be triggered.

Understanding these parameters is crucial for optimizing hook performance. For more detailed information on these settings, please refer to this [link].

MAGNET Submenu

The MAGNET submenu includes:

- AUTOCLOSE: Manage the settings for automatic closure of the hook.

- SENSITIVITY: Adjust the sensitivity of the magnet sensor to ensure reliable operation.

For further details on these settings, please refer to the following [link].

RADIO Submenu

The RADIO menu consists of three submenus: FREQUENCY, REACH, and SLEEP.

- FREQUENCY: Select the operating frequency of the hook. It is crucial that both the hook and eMAX are set to the same frequency.

- REACH: Set the maximum operational range for the hook. Ensure this value matches both the eMAX and the hook for optimal performance.

More information on configuring these parameters can be found in the following [article].

 SCALE Submenu

The SCALE menu contains several important submenus:

- ZERO: Tares the hook’s weight to ensure accurate measurements.

- AUTOZERO: Automatically performs tare before each operation; this feature can be enabled or disabled based on your preference.

- SPAN: This is a factory-calibrated load cell parameter and should not be adjusted.

- INITIAL ZERO: Restores the factory default zero setting.

- FULL SCALE: Sets the maximum weight reading corresponding to the hook’s Working Load Limit (WLL).

By understanding and properly configuring these parameters, you can enhance the performance and reliability of your lift system. If you have any questions or need further assistance, please don’t hesitate to reach out to our support team!
